The recent release of AOM V4.1.2 seems to be pretty stable so far. Usually no matter how much Beta testing a release gets, little bugs always seem to creep out right after it’s available to the wider AOM community. However, this version has so far been met by a deafening chorus of silence. Which is exactly what you want to hear if you’re working on program development, or technical support. In that silence is the sound of happy Associate-O-Matic customers, improving their sites, enjoying the new features and not finding flaws with the product.
Of course, having said that, I won’t be surprised if something turns up tomorrow. Typical. But for now, I’m enjoying the fact that I can finish upgrading my stores and not worry about a workaround for this or that. Sounds good so far.
Tip #5: Awhile back, I devoted a post or two about how to redirect a tab to an external website. A much more streamlined version of this has now been included in AOM since version 4.1.1. In the Category section, you simply select URL Category, and enter the website address in the keyword box. And just like that, you have an external category link. Much nicer than the kludge I came up with!
